INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY TODAY!!

Well I did not realize that today is INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY but it is! I have a friend from London who’s mum doesn’t even celebrate Mothers Day! WOW, how the men here would appreciate that one- whoops, did I really say that?
In all seriousness it is a day to ponder on for sure women are and always have been a strong, smart force to this planet and I think and International Day is puuurrfect, as I am not a proper mum, I am still a fabulous woman! =}

To celebrate this day I would like to introduce you to some very amazing International women from Costa Rica, who have been celebrating INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY for a 100+ YEARS!!!!

Panchita is 106 she is the superstar of the centenarians not only in Costa Rica but the world, she is still at it and 6 generations to boot. Panchita’s daughters, sons, (also up in their 80’s) with children grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of their own look after her. Panchita’s back yard is full of chickens, roosters, wild turkeys, fruit trees of every kind including fruits that we in America have not even heard of! Go WOMAN IT’S YOUR DAY!!
